Overall thoughts: Still bummed that I missed last weeks show and since I was out of town this weekend, I still haven’t had a chance to watch it. :( However, this was a fun performance and I’m glad that final four all got a chance to dance in their own style. I’m not going to comment on the solo performances separately. They were all beautiful and showcased what amazing dancers they all are.

Pairing #1: Eliana (ballet) + Cyrus (animator)
Dance Style Chosen: Paso Doble
Judges thoughts: They said that Eliana is a magical performer and very strong. They did say that Cyrus’ technique is not as good as the other dancers but he was there for his partner the whole time.
My thoughts: I agree, Eliana is an incredibly strong dancer and I also think that they are incredible together. I don’t think this routine was as fluid as it could have been but I still love watching them dance.
Paring # 2: Tiffany (jazz) + Will (season 4)
Dance Style Chosen: Jazz
Judges thoughts: They said she was fabulous and tremendous and that her lines are incredible.
My thoughts: She is a beautiful dancer and I love watching her perform. I can’t say this routine will really stick out in my mind though.
Paring #3: Eliana (ballet) + Chehon (ballet)
Dance Style Chosen: Classical Ballet
Judges thoughts: They gave them a standing ovation. They also complimented them on their versatility and extension. They were beautiful and made it look easy.
My thoughts: I’m so happy to see this pairing. They haven’t danced together since the first week and I’m so glad they both made it to this point to perform together. I agree with everything the judges said about them and honestly, they are my pick for top 2 of the season.
Paring #4 : Tiffany (jazz) +Cyrus (animator)
Dance Style Chosen: Lyrical Hip-Hop
Judges thoughts: They talked about how they are at emotional routines. They were incredible and and they killed it.
My thoughts: So the story for the dance was a first break-up. I agree their emotions were very raw and real and I loved watching them perform. I’ve never had my heart broken but I did break-up with my first boyfriend 6 months ago. I was very impressed by their commitment to the story. They aren’t my favorite of the top four, but I do love them and I’m glad they made it to the finale.
Group Performance:This was very fun and quirky routine. This is an amazing group of dancers and I love how the routine highlighted each of their abilities. The musicality was spot on and it was just great.
Paring #5 : Chehon (ballet) + Allison (season 2)
Dance Style Chosen: Contemporary
Judges thoughts: They gave them a standing ovation. They were out of words and out of breath. They said it was unreal and beautiful to watch. They compliment Chehon and said that he really came alive in this performance. They also said his height and extensions were incredible.
My thoughts: This was another heartbreaking routine—watching two people let each other go because they have to. There was a lot of raw emotion from both of them. It was such a good routine and it deserved the standing ovation it received.
Paring #6 : Eliana (ballet) + Tiffany (jazz)
Dance Style Chosen: Broadway
Judges thoughts: They gave it a standing ovation. When they were finally able to compose themselves enough to offer some critique, they said it was crazy great, fabulous and unbelievable. They definitely struggled to find anything appropriate to say.
My thoughts: Well, this was an interesting routine and one that really allows for way too many dirty jokes, haha. I will say that they are very good dancers and that this routine highlighted how strong they are. They complemented one another and partnered each other well.
Paring # 7: Chehon (ballet) + Cyrus (animator)

Judges thoughts: Nigel had some wonderful things to say to Cyrus about his character. He also said that he finds them both inspirational and that he is very proud of them. They also talked about how they lifted and supported one another.
My thoughts: I really like it when guys partner each other—there are some really great opportunities when that happens. I think that they made each other better dancers and better performers.
Special Guest—Jean Sok: Oh my goodness. This routine ended all other routines. If his performance didn’t make you stop and be thankful for your life, then I don’t know what’s wrong with you. I was tearing up watching him perform. It incredible and honestly, indescribable. Solo # 4: Chehon (ballet)
Okay, I know I said I wouldn’t talk about the solos individually, but Chehon—stop it. You are too good! I love how he incorporated the Vegas ticket into his solo.
Paring # 8: Eliana (ballet) + Alex (season 7)
Dance Style Chosen: Contemporary
Judges thoughts: They said there is nothing that Eliana can’t do. This was a favorite performance of the night. She was beautiful. She and Alex were lost in the routine and everyone watching got lost in it too.
My thoughts: This routine was so intense and beautiful. It made me tear up and I don’t even know why! They did an extraordinary job dancing together.
Paring # 9: Tiffany (jazz) + Chehon (ballet)
Dance Style Chosen: Rumba
Judges thoughts: They said it was beautiful, fabulous, and sexy. Mary said she didn’t feel the chemistry but that they did everything else right. They loved their performance.
My thoughts: I’m not the ballroom queen, so I don’t know how much of the routine was rumba, but it seemed like it fully was. Regardless, the routine was very strong and sweet. I think chemistry felt a little forced but I still really liked the routine.
Paring # 10: Cyrus (animator) + tWitch (season 4)
Dance Style Chosen: Animation
Judges thoughts: They gave them a standing ovation and said it was crazy. They said they were two superstars that “nailed it and stole the show.”
My thoughts: I loved the opening when they broke through the glass—such a strong statement. There really are no words to describe their performance. They were amazing.
I’m really bothered by Nigel’s decision to announce his vote. I don’t think it was appropriate or necessary. It felt like he was abusing his power and trying to sway the voters a certain way and I don’t like that. It really should have been left out.
That being said, my votes still went to Eliana and Chehon. I want them to win but I think I will be okay if they don’t. The other dancers are just as phenomenal. The final performance is next Tuesday, September 18th and we will find out the winners then!
